FIVE 4 FRIDAY: FIVE UNDERRATED EPISODES
In my humble opinion, these following five installments are not only terrific but are generally overlooked when considering the best episodes out of the 173 that made up the show CASTLE. So, please enjoy and comment whether you agree or disagree!
THE FIFTH BULLET
There are at least a half dozen very memorable scenes that make this one a must watch for me. Here are two
The ongoing maturation of Richard Castle makes a huge leap here as he keeps it professional with Natalie Rhodes, especially since he doesn’t need a ‘FREEBIE FIVE’ to explore a relationship with her. Added to it is a sense that Beckett just might have feelings for the ‘Ruggedly Handsome Author’ and could be feeling the faint pangs of jealousy just adds to the intrigue.
HEROES AND VILLIANS
What a great concept to develop a storyline that runs parallel to the ongoing saga of Beckett-Castle. Writer&Cop, Writer&Muse, cops have similar tragic backstory the list plays on.
Some of the best physical acting in the whole series and that is saying a lot. Plenty of attention to detail, I especially liked the thought out into how they were handcuffed. Add in a healthy smattering of innuendo puts this one way up there for me.
We get one that really fulfills the warped imagination of Richard Castle. A genuinely unique plot for a murder mystery dramedy, Castle gets to shine here without blocking out the spotlight of his co-stars. Beckett is, as always, sensational but it’s the contribution of Purlmutter that seals the deal for me!
