FIVE 4 FRIDAY: MY SEPTEMBER FAV’S
Deep in the shadow on a month past by, and in conjunction with yesterday’s IMDB TOP TEN SEPT MOVIES, I present to you my personal favorites that are also those I truly believe are the best that September had to offer. So here is my list paired with my favorite scene from theater episode.
A DEADLY AFFAIR
Season 3 got off to a rollicking start with a nice cinematic nuance of showing the ending first and then how the story develops. The deftly dealt with Castle being gone for the summer, everyone is pissed at him (well maybe not LT). We got a bet, burlesque and ballistics, what more could you want? Oh yea, A great snap from Montgomery!
THE DOUBLE DOWN
Season 2 exploded out of the blocks with a tremendous pair of episodes, that should be to nobody’s surprise, are both on this list. So much fun here right from the start and Karpowski to ending where RYESPO get mocked by the winning team. But most notable, it is the first sighting of Sydney Perlmutter!
HEROES AND VILLAINS
The quote I think of with this one is “Will you look at yourself in the mirror” I love the concept of a crime fighting superhero paired with a writer. An the actual murder was very ingenious!
DEEP IN DEATH
Lanie’s turn to shine here! A dead guy up a tree to a very unseasonlike 1 conversion on Beckett in order to save Castle from the Russians, this was pure entertainment for me start to finish. Did I mention a feature in Cosmo?
Then I really loved Lanie here, but then again I could have included all her scenes
And welcome to season 4, the transitional season between will they or won’t they, between the skirt chasing Castle and the one foot out the door Beckett. Although I always felt this could have been a two part season premier since so much was crammed into the script. So much so, the murder de jour was really irrelevant, taking, not the backseat to, but perhaps the hitched trailer to the main story . But it still was an awesome show!
AFTER THE STORM
So the inevitable finally happened but just because they are “Sharing a cab” don’t think Beckett will change. Not very much into this episode we were rewarded with that true blue, ass kicking, justice seeking crusader for justice that just might leave a nasty scar on the bad guys.
