FRIDAY FLASHBACK: MARCH 19, 2012

Nine years ago on this date the PREMIER of DANCING WITH DEATH debuted. Nestled toward the end of season 4 but before the season twist that comes in 47 SECONDS, this oft forgotten episode was fun with a unique plot and murder.

As a refresher, When Odette Morton, a contestant on the hit competition show “A Night of Dance,” is found murdered in her dressing room, Castle and Beckett must navigate the case’s many twists and twirls without stepping on each other’s toes. But as they delve into Odette’s past, they discover that this reality starlet was harboring a shocking secret that may have led to her death.

But for me, the best scene was the one featuring Lanie as she recounts why she loved the show and what her childhood dreams were and how they were shattered as she got older…

But Castle already knew of this transformation, after all he was admonished twice in season 2 for this same castle-esque behavior…

Then again four episodes later, he is paying homage to “the girls”
