MONDAY MUSINGS: OH THE PLACES WE SHOULD HAVE GONE

This post is inspired by some recent entries of NATIONAL BECKETT & CASTLE DAY.  With that in mind I ruminated on the places/events that were referenced during the life of the show but not actually seen.  It is too bad that the writers and show-runners did not trust us enough, we would have loved them!

REMY’S

So the other hangout us the elusive Remy’s (ok so the picture is actually Jerry Remy’s in Boston).  Interesting that there are no pictures of the burger and shake establishment that I could find.  Also quite disappointing that, even though it was blatantly referred to five times, there were no scenes featured in the eight seasons of the show.  The best we got was a take out bag in season 8

YANKEE STADIUM

Especially after meeting Joe Torre, I expected Beckett to coax Castle into a ballgame much like happened with the Forbidden Planet Movie.  Then perhaps, to appease his future father-in-law especially after Martha’s faux pax, we could have them take in a ballgame. Extra credit if they could have a creative murder occur during the game for them to investigate.  Or, perhaps, all those ‘connections’ of Rick’s to gather in a luxury box for a book release party.

JOHANNA BECKETT SCHOLARSHIP FUND DINNER

Oh this would have been fun.  Everyone dressed up, rubbing elbows this the rich and famous of New York.  We could wonder who Castle would have for a date.  Then there would be Beckett-DMB,Lanie-Espo, Ryan-Jenny Roy-Evelyn and Alexis-Ashley.  It would have been awesome for just the cameos of whomever they wanted.

CASKETT WEDDING RECEPTION/CELEBRATION PARTY

Large 300 people or

Or small, we all should have been involved in the wedding festivities.

JIM BECKETT’S CABIN

I really think the braintrust of Castle could have had a small minute to two scene of Beckett trying to recover on her own at dad’s cabin.  It would really work as a time progression, maybe in conjunction with the boys investigation, showing Castle’s anguish over it all.
