THIS EPISODE IN CASTLE HISTORY (TEICH) – A DEADLY AFFAIR (09-20)

Eleven years ago in this day, the season three premier A DEADLY GAME was broadcast on ABC.

The synopsis: When Beckett and her team burst into an apartment on a murderer’s trail, they see Castle standing over a dead woman’s body holding a gun; Beckett arrests Castle as he asserts his innocence. Then pinches him again!

Yet not everyone is happy as Castle is that he is back at the 12th.

In a deleted scene, when Beckett is bent over writing on the murder board, she realizes that Castle is checking her out. She holds the pose for a moment, clearly happy he is attracted to her. When she straightens up, he’s looking her in the eye. She’s clearly conflicted about what to do next, but Ryan arrives before she can say anything. As aired, Castle’s ungentlemanly look has been removed, and all we see is Beckett writing on the murder board, turning around, and sharing a significant look with Castle. Let’s enjoy it once again with a deleted scene from that episode complete with guest commentary!

And my two favorite scenes of this show:
