THURSDAY TOP TEN: MY FAVORITE APRIL EPISODES

Today I present to you my top 10 episodes aired in the month of April. They might not be the highest rated, have the best guest stars, most ingenious plots but they are the ones I like best. What about you, what are yours?

NUMBER 10:

DEN OF THIEVES

This made the list mostly for the sparring scene between Beckett and Demming. A bonus is that it provides some backstory about Javier Esposito.

NUMBER 9:

HEADHUNTERS

The reunion of Adam Baldwin and Nathan Fillion works here (unlike their awkward pairing in season 8). Lots of fun in this one especially in regard to physical comedy.

NUMBER 8:

A CHILL GOES THRU HER VEINS

An early episode that forwards the Beckett and Castle storyline. Several really good scenes include Kate’s first foray into the loft and their recreation of the murder. We even got our first poignant moments, one each for our stars in regards to JoHanna’s murder,

NUMBER 7:

THAT 70’S SHOW

This episode evokes mixed emotions, either you love it or hate it. I happen to be in the “love it” camp. Sometimes I just enjoy silliness and this one was full of jocularity. Plus Lanie is awesome!

NUMBER 6:

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART STOPS

Worth it just to hear Kate’s line “I’d let you borrow it, Esposito, but you stretched out the last one.” But there are so many others. Lanie helping Kate get ready. Powell getting even with Castle. The end scene with the windshield wipers. And this following scene

NUMBER 5:

WRAPPED UP IN DEATH

You had me with the Indiana Jones reference. Add the pranks and the haunted elevator and you got the makings of a classic. Close with Scooby Doo and there it is!

NUMBER 4:

ALWAYS BUY RETAIL

One word, Meredith!

NUMBER 3:

STILL

Absolutely loved the banter and clips which serve to remind us why we love this show.

NUMBER 2:

UNDEAD AGAIN

The killer is a zombie. Terrific show that serves as the turning point in the saga of CASKETT.

NUMBER 1:

THE LIVES OF OTHERS

The ultimate surprise party! And quite the extraordinary gift!
