WAYBACK WEDNESDAY: FIRST SONGS PLAYED

Chatting with good friend and loyal reader PJB lead to this posting.  We both agree the music featured on the show is amazing, and not BLUE PILL or HOLY SHEMP.  So let us venture back to the absolute beginning and enjoy the music (damn I sound like an aging rocker shilling Time-Life Music).

WHEN I GROW UP

Right from the start the music set the tone for what now know is a all time series.  First up, the Pussycat Dolls playing under the book launch party

HELL IN A HANDBAG  –  DUBLEX INC.

Gee thanks I wonder how Gina found out about Richard having that dreaded disease writers block.   Hmmmmmmmm……  Martha is great here!

SHO CAN WRAP  –  SOLIMINGUS

Castle and Gina discuss his overdue manuscript and writer’s block and the signing party.

I CAN’T SAY NO  – NEW MUSICAL CAST

Martha is singing when Castle returns from having been questioned by the NYPD.  One of my favorite lines is when Alexis says she saw it in previews.

STOP AND STARE  –  ONEREPUBLIC

Great song to add just the very zing to the final scene!  Beckett locks Castle to the door, he escapes and corners the killer.  His takedown was unconventional as was he offer to ‘ review what happened ‘
