WAYBACK WEDNESDAY: SEVEN YEARS AGO TODAY…
Can you believe it has been 7 years since the debut of this instant classic episode, one, I dare say deserved an Emmy for Stana, but, then again, she was especially exceptional in season 6. With that said, let’s take a look at the scenes that she made great.
A seemingly simple mission for the NYPD Narcotics division, goes horribly wrong and forces Beckett to rely only on her wits and her training when she has no choice but to impersonate a contract killer. Unfortunately her cover is blown when she gets a meet with someone with a connection to her mother’s murder. Meanwhile, with little evidence to go on, the team at the 12th is desperate for a break.
FINALLY! A DAY OFF!
We never get to see Kate just be happy hanging out, so to see her midday in comfy clothes is such a change of pace.
LEAVE IT TO GATES
To ruin her day….
PISS POOR PLANNING
How shoddy is the Narcotics team that they sent Beckett into the breach with the equivalent of hearsay in order to infiltrate a drug ring.
Amazing how brains, determination and ingenuity can keep you alive!
CAN’T END LIKE THIS… CAN IT?
Damned if she won’t leave a clue to find her, hopefully in time. And, oh by the way, Making peace with Castle
So, she needs to fake it until she can make it, find out who the mastermind is so she can take them down.
HELLO OLD FRIEND!
Or payback is a bitch? Just when things could not get worse, look who shows up?
THINGS LOOKING PRETTY BLEAK
This can’t be the end of our favorite detective, can it?
PAID IN FULL
Took a full year, but Senator Bracken made his marker good and now he and Beckett are all square. She best be watching her back!
So, there you have it, a truly great episode celebrating its seventh anniversary today. It certainly is in my All-Time Top Ten list!
